Job Description
The Strategic Finance Director serves as a key leader for the Global Elavon business supporting all of the front end business line processes and teams (i.e. product, pricing, sales, M&A, etc.). This role leads all aspects of the strategic finance processes for the business, including: pricing & product line profitability, customer & partner returns/pricing, capital/strategic investment mgmt., mergers & acquisitions, sales incentives, sales performance mgmt., etc... Manages all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial & operational processes associated. Manages a team of Finance Managers and Finance Analysts.
•Drive creation of operating plans, financial forecasts, and long-range planning supporting strategic financial initiatives, capital investments & acquisitions/dispositions.
•Analyze the potential (and realized) impact of financial decisions. Lead the development/build of models to predict benefits that will result from strategic initiatives and investment. Create and report on financial metrics to measure success. Provide recommendations to management based on data-driven performance and analysis.
•Manage the creation of performance-driven internal compensation plans for multi-level Sales organization.
•Ensure accurate payment to business lines customers and 3rd party partners.
•Build and maintain effective working relationships with various groups in payments and U.S. Bank.
•Serve as a dynamic leader on the Finance Leadership team. Work closely across Sales, Produce, Financial Operations, Accounting, and Pricing to ensure that results are accurate and that initiatives are successfully executed.
•Identify process improvements, proactively suggest and implement new solutions to support the business lines in their strategic initiatives.
•Provide leadership, guidance, training, and career development opportunities to a dynamic team of finance managers and analysts.
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
•Typically15 or more years of relevant financial management experience
•Typically 8 or more years of management experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
•Proven track record of highly effective communication and presentation skills with executive level leadership.
•Significant experience in financial services, payments and or software as a service.
•Strong background in executing and leading strategic financial processes (i.e. financial strategies related to product, pricing, profitability, M&A, etc.)
•Well-developed financial analysis, forecasting and planning skills. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaborate across functions.
•Proven track record of execution in fast-paced environment, ability to balance competing priorities.
•Resourceful, self-managed and self-motivated.
•Demonstrate logical decision making skills, utilize sound professional judgement
•Preferred location would be hybrid at a U.S. Bank location.
