The Information Security Analyst is responsible for the protection of digital information through safeguarding the SVS network, servers, files, user accounts and other sensitive information. This position provides cybersecurity governance and cyber threat management subject matter expertise by monitoring and understanding the ever-changing threat landscape and collaborating with business units and IT to ensure timely risk identification, prioritization, and mitigation of threats and vulnerabilities.


Key Responsibilities



  • Responsible for recommendation, implementation, and management of overall desktop, server, and network IDS and IPS security.

  • Perform and coordinate with third parties, regularly scheduled internal and external scans, analyze the results, and prioritize the findings, in order to communicate and work with platform owners to remediate any security vulnerabilities found.

  • Rogue access point detection and remediation.

  • Physical security and building access review.

  • SIEM analysis and support.

  • Audit and provide for logical data access policy and controls.

  • Monthly overall risk assessment and analysis report generation for senior management.

  • Create and publish overall corporate security controls.

  • Assist with Security documentation necessary for PCI, SOC, and SOX compliance.

  • Assist in all compliance efforts.

  • Lead ad hoc teams to investigate any perceived security events and remediation effort if necessary.

  • Monitor access restrictions and in place to protect data.

  • Ensure data encryption standards are up to date and meet or exceed current industry standards.

  • Ensure all security software is up to date and guarding against latest known vulnerabilities.

  • Document computer security and emergency policies, procedures, and protocol.

  • Provide employee security awareness training.


Qualifications



  • Must have a solid foundation in Network and Application Security, including incident management.

  • Candidate should be able to analyze packet capture data and provide relevant information to senior management and law enforcement if needed.

  • Working experience with IDS/IPS implementations, vulnerability scanners and configuration management for the same.

  • At least 5 years’ experience with relevant core responsibilities.

  • Highly motivated, with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficient with office products and good presentation skills.

  • CISSP certification preferred.
