What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Nutanix Engineer. In the role, the Nutanix Engineer will design, implement, and manage our hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) environment built on Nutanix AOS and virtualization platforms. The Nutanix Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Nutanix-based solutions while ensuring system performance, availability, and scalability. This role requires deep technical expertise in Nutanix technologies, virtualization, storage, and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our private cloud infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions.

As a Nutanix Engineer you will be expected to work in an onsite environment reporting to our Peachtree Office location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Infrastructure Design & Implementation
- Designing, architecting, and deploying Nutanix HCI clusters based on business requirements.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading Nutanix AOS, Prism Central, Prism Element, AHV, Cisco Hardware, and VMware ESXi.
- Installing and configuring new Cisco UCS M7 servers within the data center.
- Designing and implementing software-defined storage solutions using Nutanix Files, Volumes, and Objects.
- Leading capacity planning, system performance tuning, and infrastructure scaling efforts.
- Integrating Nutanix environments with third-party backup, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
Administration & Operations
- Performing daily administration of Nutanix infrastructure, including monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Managing virtual machines, storage policies, and network configurations through Nutanix Prism Central.
- Automating routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Nutanix Calm for orchestration.
- Managing and optimizing backup solutions with Nutanix Mine, Veeam, or other DR tools.
- Proactively monitoring infrastructure health and performance using Nutanix Insights and third-party monitoring tools.
- Ensuring high availability and business continuity through Disaster Recovery and Replication configurations.
Security & Compliance
- Applying security hardening practices across Nutanix environments.
- Implementing role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication for Nutanix management consoles.
- Ensuring infrastructure compliance with company security policies and industry standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR).
- Performing vulnerability patching and risk assessments for hyper-converged environments.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Cisco M7 server
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure incidents and performance issues
- Troubleshooting hardware, storage, networking, and virtualization-related issues in Nutanix environments
- Working with Nutanix support for proactive health checks, case escalations, and issue resolution
- Documenting solutions, troubleshooting steps, and technical designs in knowledge bases
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Nutanix HCI environments
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies including AHV, VMware vSphere/ESXi, or Hyper-V
- Experience with Storage Replication, DR Solutions, and High Availability architecture
- Hands-on experience with Prism Central, Prism Element, and performance troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of data protection solutions like Nutanix Mine, Veeam, or Commvault
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and firewall configurations
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation
- Strong documentation skills using Confluence, Visio, or similar tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies
- Preferred Certifications:
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) – Level 1 or higher
- Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP)
- VMware VCP
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
