Job Description

Duties:

  • Contribute to a collegial atmosphere with the highest-level integrity and business ethics.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to conduct bottom-up fundamental research of Asian and Latin American companies, including analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, synthesizing insights about business quality, and evaluating stock valuations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with management teams of successful and fascinating businesses.
  • Work as a generalist, generate investment insights and provide recommendations across industries and sectors based upon independent research. Industries include semiconductor, enterprise software, industrials, consumer staples, banks, E-Commerce, Communication Services, and other industries.
  • Opportunity to travel for research trips and industry conferences.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
  • Must hold CFA and/or CPA designation.
  • Must have 5 years of progressive experience in Analyst positions within the Investment Management industry performing/utilizing the following:
    • Performing fundamental research on equities, including analyzing financial statements, industry structure, competitive landscape, management capital allocation, and valuation.
    • Working with portfolio managers, providing investment recommendations across all industries and sectors based on complete and accurate facts and well-reasoned opinions.
    • Working with sell side analysts.
    • Utilizing: Investment systems, including FactSet and Bloomberg; Python; and Microsoft Suite.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with:
    • Working as a generalist, analyzing companies across industries and sectors to understand competitive dynamics and advantages.
    • International accounting standards, valuation of international companies, economics, and behavioral finance.
    • Analyzing Asian and/or Latin American companies and industries.
  • Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Austin, TX. Must be available to travel to Austin, TX regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
