Job Title: Associate, External Relationship Management

Duties: Establish and maintain business relationships with client teams including senior management to understand their business objectives and needs and help them use Aladdin expertise to achieve their firm’s goals. Responsible for working closely with Aladdin clients to be their trusted consultant, problem solver, and business partner and to take full advantage of Aladdin. Charged with advising clients on portfolio strategies, portfolio optimization, risk assessment and attribution. Serve as a point of contact of the client’s in-house teams to build and lead financial projects and coordinate resources across multiple functional areas and share knowledge relating to Aladdin models, functionality, workflow, and market best-practices. Partner with the client, as well as Aladdin Product Managers, developers, and financial modelers to support client development needs and assist with deployment of new models, analytics, and reporting across our broad range of financial products and investment styles. Build strong internal relationships with BlackRock Solutions, and the wider BlackRock globally, in support of our clients. In performing the daily responsibilities, utilize information technologies including SQL, UNIX, VBA, C++, and Perl, among others.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered, as a Manager, or in a related occupation.
Experience must include 24 months involving the following: working with financial institutions and buy-side investment management workflows and with Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Alternatives products; communicating analytics results, model enhancements and new functionalities within the scope of designing and implementing business services; utilizing programming languages, including UNIX Shell to run scripts for performance reporting and operational tasks; and assisting with day-to-day client engagement by responding to statistical and numerical inquiries, analytics inquiries, executing analytical solutions, and deploying enhancements in analytic capabilities.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $136,500 – $140,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
