Technology Infrastructure – Aladdin Platform Engineering 
Technology Infrastructure is the backbone for both the client lifecycle and the investment lifecycle. The group’s Follow the Sun Model ensures that the firm’s operations are consistent and efficient across all investment products, client channels and regions, helping to deliver a superior client experience and drive scalability. Technology Infrastructure is driven by a global network of Operating Centers of Excellence, which centralizes knowledge and equips support teams with the data and timely information needed to innovate and deliver on behalf of internal partners and clients.

BlackRock’s Aladdin Platform Engineering is team is responsible for managing lifecycle of Technology Infrastructure from deployment to decommission. This includes On-Premises as well as Cloud-based physical and virtual infrastructure using an established DevOps framework and leading-edge CI/CD tools and processes.

As an Aladdin Platform Engineer you will:

• Assist in the implementation of Infrastructure Deployment and Configuration Automation using industry leading tools and methodologies.
• Assist in assuring adherence to all Information Security and Audit requirements with respect to the Deployment, Configuration, and Logical Access to Technology Infrastructure.
• Assist in ongoing effort to migrate existing Infrastructure Deployment and Configuration procedures and processes to an Infrastructure as Code framework.
• Provide feedback and recommendations with respect to tooling enhancement or implementation to drive consistency and efficiency throughout the Technology Infrastructure lifecycle.
• Assist in the development of standardized shared modules and CI/CD pipelines for updating and deploying services in a Hybrid environment.
• Assist in training, development, and onboarding of Infrastructure Operations personnel as it relates to Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tools.
• Support Infrastructure operations teams as an escalation on above services.
• Work within an Agile Operating framework supporting infrastructure initiatives.
• Be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation (SOPs, standards, how-to, BCP/DR) for services deployed and managed by the team.

What You'll Need:

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a DevOps and Infrastructure as Code capacity using Azure DevOps, GitLab
• 1 -3 years’ experience of DevOps automation using various tools such as Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Puppet, Desired State Configuration
• 1-3 years’ experience coding in various languages such as PowerShell, Go, NodeJS
• Working knowledge of standard DevOps Tools and Procedures as it relates to Infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS cloud platforms and concepts
• Strong documentation skills.
• Scripting/programming skills.
• BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Our hybrid work model
