BlackRock's Global Product Group is hiring an experienced Associate to lead product development for alternative investment private funds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive the success of BlackRock’s Alternative products launched in the US by managing new product development and product lifecycle events
- Collaborate with teams on proposals for potential Private Fund product launches and changes to existing products, including advising on product structuring and overseeing creation of legal docs
- Partner extensively with global colleagues in Client Business, Alternative Specialists, GAAPS, Product Strategy, Legal & Compliance, Tax and Risk to build consensus, ensure global alignment and consistency of processes
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of BlackRock’s processes, operating environment, and investment products while communicating unique requirements of our funds to business partners
- Identify, evaluate and tackle potential obstacles and risks

Skills and requirements:
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years of investment management industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of investment management products and asset classes, particularly Private Funds
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with various stakeholders to completion
- Familiarity with distribution channels, portfolio management concepts, product development, open-end private fund structuring, and/or product tax is preferred
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $109,250 – $130,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
