BlackRock is seeking a Content Marketing Associate who is passionate about content creation and digital marketing to help build its brand as a leader in systematic investing.

As a Content Marketing Associate, you will create and amplify content in support of the group’s commercial objectives, while also project managing marketing programs in partnership with BlackRock’s other marketing teams. You are: creative and organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks and deliver against tight deadlines. A passion for markets is imperative, familiarity with systematic investing is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, write and edit original and topical content on key themes. Content will be targeted for a variety of audience types, from retail investors to highly knowledgeable institutions/sophisticated clients and consultants. Topics will cover a range of systematic investing topics highlighting BSYS areas of differentiation and commercial priorities including, fixed income, liquid alternatives, hedge funds, and private equity.
- Develop relationships to work with marketing colleagues across channels to amplify key messages and leverage investment content across a range of marketing collateral and tactics including: quarterly outlooks, white papers, native content, social, and video.
- Develop a deep knowledge of BSYS solutions and client preferences. Contribute to the thought-leadership agenda for BSYS, contributing original ideas for content and programs. Lead execution of marketing content and tactics to ensure all projects progress efficiently and meet agreed upon deadlines.
- Effectively manage internal stakeholders, including sales teams, creative services, digital marketing, compliance and corporate communications.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable ability to write concise, thoughtful, relevant and timely copy based on a deadline for a range of audience types and across a range of formats.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment in and adaptable and reliable manner.
- Familiarity with digital marketing basics such as web content best practices (SEO), content management and web analytics.
- Strategic and creative problem solver with attention to detail and delivery focus.
- Have a consistent track record in effective coordination and project management.
- Work independently and proactively in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced team environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a requirement.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills required.
- BA/BS required
- Three to five years of professional experience in marketing or a related field
- Experience and understanding of capital markets across a range of asset classes required, interest in systematic investing is a plus
For California and New York City only the salary range for this position is $118,750 – $140,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
