Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions
BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) group meets client demand for active multi-asset strategies and whole portfolio solutions through funds, outsourcing institutional mandates (OCIO), model portfolios, and more. MASS draws on the toolkit of BlackRock's index, factor, and alpha-seeking capabilities to deliver cutting-edge insights and precise investment outcomes. The group also includes tactical asset allocation, income, target date, target risk, multi-alternatives, and impact investing products.
Our team of over 500 multi-asset investment professionals currently manages over $1.1 trillion in assets under management and has a strong presence in New York, San Francisco, Princeton, London and throughout Asia Pacific.

The team leads strategy for both wealth and institutional client businesses across all regions. The team focuses on elevating our brand in the industry, engaging clients with differentiated content, establish its business strategy and driving commercial impact while supporting MASS leadership and partners in driving growth initiatives and executing on strategic priorities.
Job Description
Based in New York, this person (Associate or VP) will report to the Head of the MASS Business Strategy & Development, and Marketing who serves as a member of the MASS ExCo.
The team is looking for a motivated individual to help raise the profile and drive business growth of BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) in the industry. This person will work closely with MASS leaders and partners across BlackRock on a variety of strategy projects – pursuing a wide-ranging evolution and innovation from a product orientation to a whole-portfolio approach.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant work experience in asset-management and/or in management consulting
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal, confident to partner with employees both senior and junior across the business and firm
Strong organizational, planning and time management skills including ability to function effectively within a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
Must have collaborative mindset and “horizontal leadership” to drive projects cross-functionally while also being a pro-active self-starter
Passion for innovation and business building; knowledge of finance desirable but not required
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy setting and execution
Inform senior leaders across MASS and BlackRock for the business strategy setting and execution by developing and maintaining industry, competitive, and client intelligence
Innovate and execute MASS business strategies by leading or taking a major role in cross-functional strategic projects, including global and regional businesses, technology and operations, and firm-wide strategies
Drive and execute marketing, brand, and content strategies for MASS

Client engagement and business development
Elevate and embed MASS and Whole-Portfolio value propositions in every client engagement
Partner with MASS leaders and client teams to translate high-level market and client opportunities into actionable investment solutions
Support external client engagement and new business developments
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $156,750 – $205,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
