What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Chief Architect on a permanent basis within our International Vehicle Payments line of business, this position is located in our London office. In this role, you will perform an architecture leadership role for the Vehicle payments and Consumer divisions. You will lead the design of the future IT ecosystem and assist in building a multiyear roadmap for transforming the enterprise. In addition, you will collaborate with other architects and tech teams to promote standards, ensure best practices, extract reusable assets and assist with problem solving. You will report into our CIO and regularly collaborate with other IT teams in the business.

As a Chief Architect, you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting business partners to build service and tool portfolios to drive business growth.
  • Collaborating with business and technology teams to define future states, roadmaps, and create platform architecture that enables business and technology vision and goals.
  • Creating the technical strategy and IT reference architectures to guide the successful design, implementation and operations of IT solutions.
  • Developing and drive adoption of technology standards and architecture patterns across the organization.
  • Identifying important potential technologies and approaches to address current and future technology needs, evaluating their applicability and fit, as well as leading the definition of standards and best-practice for their use.
  • Defining and managing the architecture and technology governance processes for the businesses. Coach and mentor members of the IT teams to provide technical oversight.
  • Aligning solutions with Corpay supported technologies.
  • Building effective relationships with business and key technical resources to influence technology solutions.
  • Providing technical evaluation of proposed project ideas, software changes and future product releases.
  • Understanding and help address risk, privacy, cybersecurity and legal constraints on data.
  • Participating in technical due diligence and decisions for future M&A activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Significant experience in architecture roles for mid-sized to large enterprises.
  • Considerable enterprise architecture experience.
  • Have a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving with demonstrable verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to create detailed documents and present to steering committee or key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable examples of leading software design and architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of platform architecture concepts, best practices, objectives, and processes.
  • Experience with Agile software development preferably with an onshore-offshore model.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to build relationships across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Experience with cloud architectures. AWS experience a plus.
  • Proven technical leadership experience in delivery of IT projects.
  • Experience with architecting systems in a regulatory, corporate reporting or similar environment. PCI DSS and financial services a plus.
