About The Opportunity

The Integration Solutions Specialist is a role within the Dayforce Customer Support organization, focused on supporting and consulting on web service-based integrations using Dayforce APIs (RESTful, OData, SOAP). You will work closely with clients, implementation consultants, and internal teams to diagnose web services, API integration issues and provide guidance on best practices.

You will not handle implementation setups but will provide technical troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and issue resolution for integrations that have transitioned to support.

What You'll Get To Do

API & Web Services Support

  • Provide technical support for Dayforce Web Services published on the Dayforce Developer Network (DDN).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, including:
    • API latency and timeout
    • Authentication or authorization failures
    • Endpoint connectivity
    • On Demand Service configurations (billable support)
  • Analyze integration flows using SQL Profiler, Azure Log Analytic logs, HAR files, and browser dev tools to isolate root causes.
  • Support API-based transmissions from Dayforce Integration Studio module, including webhook failures and export job issues.
Boomi & Dayforce People Connector

  • Provide post-go-live support for the Dayforce People Connectors. (e.g., Workday to Dayforce, Dayforce to Netsuite).
  • Apply requested configuration changes to live integrations.
  • Troubleshoot Boomi process failures, connectivity issues, and middleware performance problems.

Application Performance & Latency Troubleshooting

  • Triage and investigate application slowness, background job processing delays, or memory/time-out issues in Production environments.
  • Work across infrastructure, application, and database layers to:
    • Review SQL blocking/deadlocks
    • Analyze CPU/memory usage on app servers
    • Evaluate latency using Developer tool HAR file and Azure Log Analytics
  • Collaborate with Cloud Hosting, DBA, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to escalate issues when needed.
Internal Collaboration

  • Provide assistance during Major Incident Management (MIM) events that impact Dayforce application availability, including triage support, root cause analysis input, and coordination with internal teams (Cloud Hosting, DBA, SRE).
  • Document findings, escalate software defects through JIRA with proper replication steps.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and case resolution documentation.

Skills And Experience We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Practical experience in a technical customer support environment, particularly within Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, OData, SOAP, and authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and SAML.
  • Proficiency in SQL with demonstrated use of tools like SQL Profiler and SQL Sentry for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve performance issues across web, application, and database layers.
  • Experience with debugging tools such as HAR analyzers, browser developer tools, and log inspection utilities (e.g Azure Log Analytics).
  • Familiarity with Dell Boomi or similar iPaaS platforms, or exposure to integration processes and basic troubleshooting of middleware configurations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into customer-friendly language.
