About The Opportunity

Dayforce is seeking a Cybersecurity Principal Network and Security Architect. to join our global Cybersecurity organization to serve as a thought leader to challenge and influence all levels across the organization to build enterprise alignment around network and cloud security strategy, standards, roadmaps, and capabilities.

This highly technical role is critical for leading enterprise security maturity for complex traditional, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

The Cybersecurity Architect must have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to help develop and drive security roadmap execution.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Provide end to end deep technical architectural engineering network and cloud security direction
  • Research, design, and build reliable core network and security solutions for on-prem and multi-cloud environments, with a focus to enforce security policy and engineering through automation and Zero Trust
  • Define current and future state security architecture design by remaining current with new security threats and assess systems for gaps in controls
  • Evaluate current products, solutions and architecture to drive innovation to develop short-term and long-term cloud and network security roadmaps
  • Conduct threat modeling to identify and understand threats and mitigations to protect the enterprise
  • Gather and define requirements and make solution recommendations for roadmap capabilities
  • Routinely research new and emerging capabilities of current and new disruptive solutions on the market and make security roadmap recommendations to leadership
  • Develop and build design for key Enterprise Data Security program initiatives
  • Lead creation of clear and concise security standards to provide engineering teams with tactical direction for achieving the enterprise security strategy
  • Lead technical discussions with partners, vendors, management, and engineering
  • Actively participate and represent Cybersecurity in Architecture Review Board (ARB) reviews
  • Partner closely with Product & Technology (P&T) and Technology organizations to drive security roadmap
  • Negotiate and execute Statement of Work (SOW) agreements as needs arise to accelerate projects & initiatives
  • Provide Tier3 support for network and security engineering peers.
  • Advance program reporting function via building integrations and automation with security tools and dashboards
  • This role is both design and hands-on build

Skills And Experience We Value

  • 5+ years’ experience architecting network and cloud security solutions
  • Strong leadership skills and past proven track record delivering results by defining requirements, leading planning, and driving execution
  • Excellent communication skills to multiple levels of audiences of stakeholders
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud providers
  • Extensive hands-on experience with network, cloud, cloud and security tooling
  • Extensive knowledge in securing Azure & AWS Public Cloud, IaC templates, Kubernetes, workloads at runtime, microservices architecture
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional, cloud and virtual network technologies
  • Proficient with scripting languages and automation
  • Strong fundamentals in network and firewall technologies including SASE
  • Experience working effectively in global virtual environment
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
