As an Industry Marketer, you are responsible for developing – and telling – a story about the organization’s capabilities with regards to a specific vertical.

For the Mortgage & Housing industry, you will help create the industry marketing strategy and plan on behalf of an organization, coordinate a variety of marketing execution resources (internal and external) to carry out the plan, and ensure that sales resources understand the industry. You will work cross-functionally, unifying and motivating peers from different teams (e.g. product management, vertical marketing, product marketing and sales).

What you will do

• Contribute to the portfolio marketing plan, to ensure industry marketing plans support the major themes that will be communicated into target markets, buyers, the industry landscape and key issues

• Devise industry/thought leadership marketing strategies for how the segment/industry/capability will be expressed to the marketplace

• Develop and leverage an in-depth understanding of customer needs within the segment/industry

• Create and execute content strategies that encapsulate effective audience-centric messaging and value propositions

• Curate content in the industry vernacular (e.g. playbooks, case studies, blog posts, sales training materials)

• Enable sellers to sell more via appropriate knowledge transfer and content programs—increasing sales productivity

• Help enable sales for events, trade shows and conferences and attend as needed.

• Develop sales content and activities for direct and indirect sales.

What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, management or similar field required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role in a complex business environment, including extensive experience with integrated and content marketing strategies

• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed

What could set you apart

• Mortgage & Housing industry experience

• Must have an understanding of Marketing Planning, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, traditional and new marketing tactics, and channel marketing

• Work experience in a highly matrixed organization is a plus.

• Ability to adjust to new, changing or ambiguous situations (e.g., different management styles, new methods, systems and procedures) and changing priorities within the business and the marketplace

• Experience in the technology and/or data industries or working with technology and/or data-related products and services preferred
