Equifax is looking for a senior sales leader to join our Communications and Energy team. As the Senior Vice President, Communications and Energy, this position will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer within the US Information Solutions (USIS) Business Unit. With responsibility for managing a $100MM P&L with double-digit growth expectations, this leader will develop and execute sales and go-to-market strategies and operational performance of products and solutions to existing customers, while engineering an expansion into new revenue streams leveraging “legacy” client relationships and exploring new relationship types.
This leader will also develop, implement, and execute on Communications and Energy Industry vertical strategies for year-over-year growth and will manage, supervise, and lead a team of managers, sales, and sales support professionals within the vertical, to meet and exceed assigned sales targets and business imperatives.
What You'll Do:
Assess current vertical strategy and develop vision and strategic plan for Communications and Energy verticals
Develop a 90-day plan and assessment on the opportunities and work across Equifax enterprise to develop and execute on this plan
Work directly with senior leadership, key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the enterprise, to help identify growth opportunities and drive the enterprise strategy for Communications and Energy
Build direct senior client relationships and access to position Equifax’s capabilities to address customers’ needs
Assess and develop strategic partnerships to support a robust distribution strategy, leveraging third parties for distribution, innovation and growth
Develop and implement business development processes for verticals, including segmentation, solution proto-typing, value mapping, go to market approach, etc.
Drive innovation and transformation throughout the vertical; raising the bar on excellence and truly understanding market trends, consumer behaviors, and customer needs
Leverage strategic, consultative enterprise sales approach to embed dynamic solutions
Recruit, develop and lead team and drive enhanced performance
Maintain an effective organizational structure that enables us to optimize our resources and skill sets to meet both the customer and the organization’s objectives
Develop the workforce to be capable of executing and supporting Equifax’s new market strategy, mentoring to help deepen core competencies in analytics, consultative selling, and client management
Effectively manage and lead the vertical team to perform to demanding standards for speed, flexibility, and quality
What Experience You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 10+ years of account management and sales leadership experience
Demonstrated success leading and managing teams
Impeccable executive level communication to effectively address customers, business and technical colleagues
Superb verbal and written communications skills, including formal as well as informal client and internal presentations, including virtual settings
Balance of strategic thinking and execution, demonstrating excellent analytical skills and passion to learn quickly
What Will Set You Apart
Masters or advanced degree preferred
Prior experience working within Communications and/or Energy industries
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives
A mastery of the consultative and solutions sales process to clients in all facets of client function, including strong and proven deal coaching skills
A strong understanding of how to lead and motivate sales professionals
Ability to build personal relationships with prospects and clients; must be organized and self-motivating with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group and large audience environments
Proven track record of performance
