The Cyber Security Engineer - Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding Equifax's global enterprise by developing and implementing security strategies, managing risk assessments, and driving security best practices across infrastructure and applications. This role demands a strong technical background, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for staying ahead of evolving security threats.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement security strategies to identify, measure, and manage risks across Equifax's global enterprise.

• Provide expert security guidance and consulting for Equifax infrastructure and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Establish and promote security assessment best practices for global platforms.

• Assess the security design and deployment of high-performance infrastructure and applications.

• Define security controls based on user requirements and industry standards.

• Collaborate with global security and IT teams to ensure enterprise-wide protection and consistent best practices.

• Evaluate new security technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the existing environment.

• Implement and manage security solutions, standards, and procedures to protect sensitive information.

• Contribute to project planning and progress monitoring.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in information security engineering or a similar role.

• Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies and security best practices.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure security concepts, including network security, data security, and cloud security.

• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are preferred.
