Join our 24/7 Network Control team as a Network Control Technician and play a critical role in maintaining the stability and performance of our systems and networks. As the first line of defense, you will be responsible for promptly addressing system and network issues, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring minimal disruption to our services. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This will be a Hybrid position and this person will need to be based out of the Louisville, KY area.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support for a 24/7 operation, taking swift and appropriate action to resolve system and network problems.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system and network incidents, aiming to minimize impact on customer service and business operations.
Respond to customer inquiries, providing effective assistance and resolving technical challenges.
Document troubleshooting steps clearly and precisely.
Monitor system and network performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements to products and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A computer networking degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Experience troubleshooting application processes in Windows and Linux-based environments.
Customer service or call center experience.
Experience with basic networking concepts.
Preferred Skills:
Network+, A+ certifications.
Experience with ticketing systems such as CA Service Desk Manager or ServiceNow.
Experience with remote access tools such as Bomgar, Putty, and WinSCP.
Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues over the phone.
