Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

The Mission

As the VP of Technology Strategy & Operational Excellence, you will serve as the primary strategic advisor and "COO of Technology" for the CTO of Equifax Workforce Solutions (EWS). In a $2.9B division where technology is the product, you will bridge the gap between long-term vision and high-velocity execution. You are responsible for orchestrating a global engineering organization to deliver world-class outcomes, ensuring the technical roadmap is synchronized with enterprise growth targets and the evolving AI landscape. This role will sit in St. Louis, MO and is expected to work from the office in Maryland Heights, MO.

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support. This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Architect & AI Governance: Partner with the CTO to formulate and evolve the EWS Technology strategy. You will translate "big picture" vision into actionable OKRs, specifically overseeing the integration of Agentic AI frameworks into the product lifecycle and ensuring algorithmic accountability.

  • M&A Strategy & Integration: Lead the technology workstream for Mergers & Acquisitions. This includes conducting technical due diligence, assessing the "AI maturity" of targets, and managing the post-merger integration (PMI) of engineering teams, platforms, and data assets to realize synergy targets.

  • Operational Rigor: Cultivate a high-accountability "Say/Do" culture. You will lead shared services—Planning, Strategic Initiatives, and Global Workforce Management—ensuring execution remains seamless across a complex, multi-national footprint.

  • AI Transformation Catalyst: Drive the internal adoption of Generative AI and LLM-backed tooling to augment developer productivity. You will design the benchmarks for measuring AI’s impact on the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Direct Leadership & SPE Center of Excellence: Lead and mentor a high-caliber team of SPE professionals. You will be responsible for their professional growth, setting the gold standard for strategic orchestration, and ensuring the team acts as a cohesive, high-bandwidth bridge between technical squads and executive leadership.

  • The Bridge Builder: Serve as the high-bandwidth liaison between EWS Tech and Corporate functions. You will ensure EWS maintains operational autonomy while remaining strictly aligned with global platform standards and AI Ethics/Compliance guardrails.

  • Financial & Talent Interlock: Manage the "Business of Technology." Partner with Finance and HR to mature a ~$300M global budget and a sophisticated talent strategy focused on next-gen technical skill sets (MLOps, AI Engineering, Data Science).

  • Vendor Ecosystem Management: Oversee strategic software consulting partnerships and global sourcing initiatives, ensuring third-party delivery aligns with internal quality and security standards.

The Profile: Who You Are

  • The Calm Force: You possess high Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and the ability to navigate a leadership team of strong personalities. You act as a coach and mediator, redirecting individual interests toward broader organizational goals.

  • AI-Forward Leader: You are more than "digitally literate." You understand the architectural implications of Agentic Workflows, the cost-complexity trade-offs of LLMs, and the infrastructure required to scale Data & AI products.

  • Integration Expert: You have a "general contractor" mindset for M&A—you can quickly assess a target's technical debt, security posture, and cultural fit, and then build the roadmap to bring them into the fold.

  • Outcome Obsessed: You move beyond vanity metrics. You are focused on tangible business impact, whether that is reducing Technical Debt, accelerating Time-to-Market, or optimizing Cloud Unit Economics.

What you’ll need (minimum qualifications)

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in Technology, including 10+ years in Leadership, Strategy, or a Chief of Staff capacity within a large-scale (1000+ person) global matrixed organization.

  • M&A Track Record: Proven experience leading technical due diligence and successful large-scale platform integrations following an acquisition.

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing massive OpEx/CapEx budgets (~$300M) and headcount in a high-growth, high-EBITDA environment.

  • Technical Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of Cloud-native platforms, Engineering mindset, and the deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
