This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.

Organizational Expectations:

As an IT business partner specialist or advisor, you will work through leaders and will apply expert knowledge of the business and industry to drive business results. You will oversee all actions related to staff and operations of one or more function in the information technology department and will ensure the success of a function(s) operations and the advancement of strategic objectives. You will actively drive a culture of innovation and an environment of learning, which fosters engagement, risk taking and innovation; and will uphold these values in all its responsibilities. You will be a key partner within the organization requiring communication with colleagues, business stakeholders, national IT partners, and teams across the Federal Reserve System and/or the US Treasury. You may also lead a team of senior professionals, leads, and/or managers.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develops departmental strategic and tactical planning.

  • Works with business stakeholders and executives to identify opportunities that enable business solutions in support of their tactical and strategic objectives.

  • Exhibits and manages a culture that drives innovation, lead from where you are, diversity inclusion, and continuous learning.

  • Provide project planning and management for moderate to complex projects.

  • Provide management of staff including performance management, career development, coaching and mentoring.

  • Participates on Bank or System work groups to advance technology initiatives.

  • Accountable for achieving departmental performance metrics, and project deliverables on time, with agreed upon scope and within budget.

  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining compliance and controls, including maintaining SAFR/FISMA requirements as well as industry best practices.

  • Consult on IT issues for the Bank, System and Department of Treasury.

  • Perform administrative and budgeting operations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

Education and Experience:

IT Business Partner Specialist

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, information technology, economics, or related field

  • 7+ years related work experience.

  • IT Business Partnership professional certification or equivalent experience required.

  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CIT Business Partnership) and PMP certification preferred.

IT Business Partner Advisor

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, information technology, economics, or related field - Advance degree or professional certification, (ITIL) & (ITM) preferred.

  • 10+ years of related work experience

  • IT Business Partnership professional certification or equivalent experience required.

  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CIT Business Partnership) and PMP certification required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding and knowledge of effective relationship management, following best practices from the IT Business Partnership Institute.

  • Ability to stimulate, surface, and shape business demand for adding business value.

  • Understanding of IT Business Partnership value management lifecycle and value realization

  • Understanding of IT application development lifecycle, operations, and other service delivery typically provided by central IT and IS organizations Interest in emerging technologies and benefit.

  • Ability to perform independent research.

  • Communicates effectively both through written and spoken word – written communications include information regarding IT activities that may impact the business area.

  • Advanced knowledge of the latest trends in technology and translates those into opportunities to enhance our customer's technology needs.

  • Experience with mentoring and coaching staff.

  • Relationship building skills.

  • Ability to motivate, persuade, and influence others.

  • Critical and strategic thinker.

  • Analytical skills with ability to think creatively with innovation in mind.

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
