OUR BANK - The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States and is one of the most influential, trusted, and prestigious financial organizations. It consists of twelve Reserve Banks located around the country and the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta territory covers the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which includes Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:

This internship will be a part of the Digital Strategy team in the Public Affairs department and support all user experience activities related to the Bank's website and mobile app. This position will have the opportunity to help redesign the Bank's website by creating wireframes and conducting usability testing on prototypes and functional webpages. This position will also assist with the development of the Bank's first design system by helping to create new components and reviewing existing documentation to identify and address any gaps. Other activities include supporting the Bank's ongoing user research activities and analyzing UX data such as heatmaps to glean insights and recommend improvements to our products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum.

  • Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.

  • Knowledge of FIGMA and HTML/CSS

PREFERRED MAJORS:

  • User Experience
  • Human Computer Interaction
  • Computer Science
  • Graphic Design

CORE COMPETENCIES:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

· Great work ethic and detail oriented

· Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner
