The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta territory covers the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which includes Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Atlanta Fed and the other Reserve Banks play an important part in all three of the Fed's functions: monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and the operation of a nationwide payment system.

SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:

The Graphic Design Intern will be working under Tish Spaulding and alongside the Graphics team. The intern will be responsible for providing support in design and production through a variety of projects, (digital, web, and others as assigned). They will also assist with the development and design of core graphics, sample photos, partner and event logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates and photo selection for marketing material. This is a great opportunity to bulk up their portfolio and expand their experience in various marketing areas!

Responsibilities:

The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

1. Selecting sample photos for marketing material, blog posts, and website use

2. Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts

3. Assist with website, social media and graphic/template design

4. Assist with collateral updates

5. Creation of various logos for partners, events and products

6. Interaction with clients via email to share revisions and finished designs

7. Creation and updates to various internal/external collateral

8. Creation and updates to email campaign graphics

9. Other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum.

  • Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.

  • High functioning knowledge of Apple Hardware and Windows Hardware,

  • Must be proficient in basic design programs of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Students must provide a digital portfolio of their work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

  • Great work ethic and detail oriented

  • Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner
