Federal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisThe Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking an Experienced or a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to be part of our Technology team.This position will be responsible, as a contributor, in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of application solutions with low code and off the shelf software.
You will work with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure end-to-end delivery is achieved. This role will be the primary ServiceNow engineer, creating custom workflows for business partners. Additionally, you will learn to use and integrate other tools used by the team to solve business problems. Current technologies used by the team include: UiPath RPA, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Tableau, and Power BI.
This position requires regular 1day per week on-site attendance, no exceptions.
Responsibilities:
Develop custom ServiceNow workflows.
Build solutions using SharePoint and Power Automate.
Prepare detailed specifications from which application programs will be written. Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation as necessary.
May authorize risk level changes and recommend solutions to minimize and/or prevent system interruption.
Work with diverse technologies to design, build (code), test, debug, document, implement and maintain solutions and/or patterns for existing and new systems or hardware within the boundaries of existing standards, processes, or operational plans.
Perform change and problem management using standard tools following system change management policies and procedures for software/hardware propagation to other platforms and/or environments.
Ensure conformance with existing system capability. Measure performance to ensure proper operation.
May lead highly technical/complex projects utilizing FRIT, System, or local staff and resources.
Follow and ensure adherence to technical standard for programming and design techniques.
May train technical staff on use of software /hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures.
Contribute to development and revision of department standards and procedures.
Monitor compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.
Assist with monitoring compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.
Collaborate with business areas to ensure strategic usage of ServiceNow, enhance new or modified programs, and to integrate ServiceNow to meet business requirements.
Document, analyze, and test to resolve problems. Implement solutions and provide on-going support.
Learn additional technologies supported by the team. Respond to audit reviews and findings for existing applications/software.
Research, evaluate, and recommend solutions. Identify ways to reuse existing code, and designs prototypes using current or emerging technologies.
Provide input to department management for business planning and decision making when needed.
Mentor and provide technical training, information, and technical expertise to other automation and business area staff and management as necessary.
Develop and present technical information and expertise to business areas, IT staff, and management as necessary.
Communicate and provide guidance on tool use and selection.
Qualifications:
Associate degree and eight (8) years of experience in development using ServiceNow or other off the shelf products OR
Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in development using ServiceNow or other off the shelf products OR
Master's degree and four (4) years of experience in development using ServiceNow or other off the shelf products.
Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with creative thinking and ability to work on abstract concepts.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
In addition to meeting the above required qualifications, the following are required technical skills:
Proven technical competency in workflow development.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with creative thinking and ability to work on abstract concepts.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across the team as a leader.
Desired, not required, technical skills:
Experience or familiarity with SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and data visualization tools.
