About the Opportunity
The Facilities department has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Facilities Assistant Vice President. Richmond is the head office of the Federal Reserve 5th District, and contains more than 1.4 million square feet of office space and parking in Richmond, Baltimore, and Charlotte which the District Facilities Management group is responsible for. The person selected for this position will serve as the Electrical Engineer for the District. With several large electrical projects coming in the near future, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong electrical background. The person selected will work alongside the District operations team which consist of a Mechanical Engineer, HVAC and Electrical tradesman, Maintenance Mechanics, and a strong Project Management Office who all work together to maintain our facilities across the district.
What You Will Do:
Provide input and operationalize strategic and long-term plans for equipment and maintenance.
Direct and control activities for the overall critical 24 x 7 critical plant operations for the 5th District, Board and System to ensure the operations of the electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems and readiness for back-up systems in the event of system failures.
Lead and execute capital improvement projects including concept, development, engineering design, bidding, and implementation.
Develop, lead, and execute business continuity plans in the event of a critical outage or maintenance requirement.
Qualifications:
10+ years of large facility electrical engineering experience.
Electrical expertise with capital projects.
Experience with equipment selection and electrical specifications review.
Electrical engineering degree preferred. Will consider industrial engineering degree, with electrical engineering background.
Professional Engineer certification preferred, and Project Management Professional certification preferred.

The hiring range for the Electrical Engineer Senior is $92,200 - $126,830, annually. We are open to hiring at the experience level of the individual, and would consider intermediate or advanced levels of experience.
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
