The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Graduate level student or a recent college graduate student for a summer internship in the bank’s Community Development Regional Outreach department. Students majoring in Economics, Public Policy, Urban Planning, and other related studies will be preferred. Internships are generally a 10-week program. This is a paid internship. Hybrid and remote candidates will be accepted. The work schedule is Monday – Friday (40 hour per week).

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Job Description:

You will support the department’s research projects related to community development, responsibilities include literature review, descriptive statistical analysis, and writing/editing draft reports on racial homeownership gap or other research projects. You may also be responsible for assisting the department’s other ongoing research projects and events.

Required Skills:

Experience with or familiarity of programming languages such as R, SAS, or STATA; experience of/familiarity with ArcGIS would be plus

Experience working with large datasets

Ability to write clearly and communicate technical concepts to lay audiences

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Attention to detail, problem solving, and priority setting

Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in community development preferred

Other:

Sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
