What we do:

Software Asset Management (SAM) is the process that ensures compliance with the legal agreements, purchasing and lifecycle management of various software products. Our goals are to reduce IT expenditures, free up valuable human resources, mitigate compliance risks and maximize the value of software throughout its lifecycle.

Your role as a Software Asset Management Associate:

We are seeking a Software Asset Management associate to join our team who will be responsible for daily tactical management and control of the Banks software portfolio. This role will be responsible for managing license entitlements, actioning procurement requests, verifying usage, license renewals and procurement of software.

In addition, you will be expected to:

  • Work with business areas to understand their software needs and facilitate the software request process

  • Develop an understanding of the software applications and technology disciplines in the Bank's environment (enterprise architectures, risk, security, and operations etc.) and gain the ability to communicate requirements and coordinate with the stakeholder groups

  • Work with staff and management to implement and improve continuous request, harvest, procurement and renewal, and disposal processes and services

  • Participate in new and ongoing ITAM improvement initiatives

  • Support other team members with system related issues

  • Gather and document business processes

  • Provide metrics and reporting on the software assets

  • Assist with compliance reviews to ensure the integrity of the software asset information

What we are looking for:

  • General understanding of procurement lifecycle

  • General understanding of software license contract language and how to manage subsequent risks/reward from said contract

  • Understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle including creation, maintenance, and optimization of license positions

  • Familiarity with Software and Online Service Usage Metering and Optimization

  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of service

Salary Range: $117800 - $147200 / year
