What we do:

The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) leads the effort to establish an enterprise-wide data and analytics culture and mindset across the Bank. DAO:

  • Establishes governance, policies and standards; operationalized through a central data management function.

  • Delivers advanced analytics techniques and solutions that are fit-for-purpose and can scale across the Bank.

  • Embeds analytics excellence across the organization though a federated “hub and spoke” operating model.

The Data Management Specialist role reports to the DAO Data Management Lead and works with associates across practices, technology designers, business area users and data managers, product managers, information architects in support of these objectives. This role supports managing Data assets, Data Product, Metadata, taxonomies, and ontologies of enterprise information assets.

Your role as Data Management Specialist:

  • Assist with implementation of Data Lifecycle Management for the enterprise

  • Support the Data Management Practice Lead in developing a framework to manage Data

  • Analyze and Translate business needs to design and implement solutions for Data Discovery and Data Management of Data Assets and Data Products. To enable this, develop strong collaborative partnerships with Data Architects, business area users and data managers, business process engineers, information technology, and outside data specialist consultancies.

  • Analyze information from data and content to develop taxonomies and ontologies that will support the Bank’s growing high performing advanced analytics needs.

  • Support development of a framework for Data Quality Management which includes data quality thresholds and rules, data quality assessment, data quality issues resolution, data monitoring and control

  • Create detailed requirements documents reflecting Data Management needs. Work closely with key SMEs to address requirements.

  • Support selection and implementation of Data Management technology and tools.

  • Help identify and track performance metrics, develop standard reports, and share progress with management.

What we are looking for:

  • Working knowledge of existing and emerging data management, metadata, taxonomy & ontology, standards, tools, and best practices

  • Strong coordination, project planning, implementation, and prioritization skills

  • Ability to manage expectations and balance demands while maintaining team priorities

Salary Range: $116500 - $200400 / year
