Join our team onsite as a paid intern – summer 2025!

Take your skills to the next level and gain valuable experience contributing to work within Financial Management. Financial Management strives to deliver exceptional financial and strategic insights to the Bank through strong partnerships, processes, and controls that enable the Bank to achieve its business objectives.

As an intern, you may work with one or more of Financial Management’s functions to:

  • Assist with execution of the current department strategic plan and be a part of developing future strategic initiatives for implementation in 2026 and beyond

  • Learn about the unique aspects of the Federal Reserve Bank’s financial statements

  • Assist with the preparation of journal entries, management of the general ledger, and account reconciliations

  • Assist with annual asset confirmation survey and salvage value review

  • Learn the fundamentals of budget maintenance and customer service

  • Assist with preparing and distributing customer reports along with developing new job aids and training materials to support ongoing customer engagement strategies

  • Learn about Agile methodologies and how they can be useful in product and tool development to meet stakeholders needs efficiently

  • Assist in the development of new data analytics tools and visualizations which will be used for executive-level reporting

  • Assist with the identification, monitoring, and resolution of key process risk and controls

  • Work with the sourcing team on procure-to-pay activities

  • Research sourcing and contract data information within the Bank’s Enterprise Resource Planning Applications

  • Learn sourcing and procurement concepts and its impact on all financial management functions

Requirements for Financial Management Internships:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Should have at least one semester left to complete in school.

  • Strong computer/technical skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access (or familiarity with other data access tools).

  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work both in a group setting and on an individual basis.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees will be required to travel by car/air.
