About the Role:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team responsible for developing and supporting mission critical national applications for the local business lines. This role requires specialized technical skills in software architecture, programming languages, and experience in Cloud computing. As a member of our team:
You Will:
- Provide technical leadership for the architecture and design of complex end-to-end solutions across multiple technologies/platforms to address a business problem.
- Develop solution architecture blueprints and engineering designs for large projects or programs.
- Provide strategic foresight and long-term development planning for future technology adoption.
- Evaluate solution options including tools and technologies to design the best fit solution to meet current and future business needs in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
- Be responsible for architectural decisions, standards, technical planning, architecture development and technical specifications for existing and/or new solutions and services.
- Be able to anticipate business needs and lead complex end-to-end efforts independently with minimal supervision.
- Serve as one of the primary technical experts in the organization, responsible for guidance and overarching technical oversight and architecture alignment.
- Provide guidance to team members, help solve technical challenges, and remove roadblocks.
You Have:
- Must have prior experience with cloud architecture in setting the Cloud Migration direction for the development team.
- Transform business strategy into target state architecture (Cloud and On-prem).
- 5 + years of experience in Technical Lead or Architecture role with responsibility for establishing best practices and architectural design and leading software development team to develop large scale enterprise applications.
- 5+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications design and REST Web Services.
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases and Java programming.
- Proficiency in implementing cloud-native microservices in AWS cloud environments.
- Proficiency in application modernization approaches including containerization and APIs.
- One or more AWS cloud certifications (Associated Solution Architect or Developer).
- Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
