About the Opportunity

Our National IT Office of the Chief Information Security Officer’s (OCISO) Engagement & Enablement team has an immediate opening for an Experienced Business Analyst with a passion for Information Security (IS) and exceptional communication skills. In this role, you will be part of a highly motivated team seeking someone to raise IS awareness through multiple avenues including IS Training & Enablement and Communications support. A key part of this role will include writing and editing IS material including awareness articles, presentations, artifacts, and memos with the goal of providing a link between our IS experts and stakeholders to ensure information is clearly communicated and understood across the organization. Additional responsibilities will include support of IS training programs with a focus on data analytics and process improvement opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Utilize strong oral and written communication skills along with acute attention to detail and a high level of data integrity and accuracy to write, review and edit IS communications to support customer communication needs.
  • Work with stakeholders and other resources to identify customer needs and recommend communication or training solutions.
  • Translate technical IS information and details into polished executive- level presentations that tell a story for the intended audience.
  • Support customer product information utilizing tools such as SharePoint Online to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide support of training and enablement programs to include registration and scheduling along with the creation and maintenance of distribution groups.
  • Review data analytics to ensure communications are meeting customer needs and propose ideas for improving overall awareness and understanding. May include the need for ad-hoc reporting to track business value.
  • Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office along with various other online applications as needed for the role.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit communications and translate detailed information into a visually appealing deliverable that tells a story and meets the need of an intended audience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3- 5+ years of relevant work experience within Communications or Business support areas.
  • High level understanding of Information Security practices is beneficial.
  • Writing samples and exercises may be requested as part of the application process.

  • The hiring range for the Analyst-Business- Experienced role is $62,900 – $78,600 annually.
  • For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
