There are multiple postings covering our various opportunities; you may apply to more than one posting.Our summer internships provide talented students an opportunity to gain valuable experience by working on projects that support our business areas; and ultimately impact the national economy.
Our intern program also allows insight into the possible future entry-level positions and be exposed to several areas across the division and bank.
Regardless of which internship, all our interns experience the following:
- Networking within the Bank and across the Federal Reserve System
- Various events ranging from Leadership Q&As to development-oriented sessions and much more
- Dedicated intern mentor program
- Exposure to Bank operations and mission driven work
This role is a unique rotational opportunity within our Communications & Engagement division (C&E). Lasting for 12 weeks, you will support various areas with different responsibilities across C&E. These include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with planning and executing events with external stakeholders
- Participate in external engagement efforts developing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the district
- Support news media relations efforts -- including updating media and contact lists, researching media targets, maintaining databases and identifying new potential contacts)
- Support social media strategy by proposing content ideas, supporting content development, monitoring engagement, and suggesting optimizations.
- Contribute fresh ideas for storytelling, developing content and STL Fed brand visibility (including the Economy Museum)
- Aid in the Bank’s increased usage of AI to support content, measurement and media relations.

The Details
The internship will be 35 hours/week in a flexible environment in downtown Saint Louis. The internship will run 12 weeks starting at the beginning of June. This is a paid internship, $20-$22/hr depending on your year of school.
