ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:


We offer paid, full-time summer internships for many majors, with fulfilling work and opportunities to grow. To help launch your career, we provide dedicated staff mentors. You’ll also learn from senior leaders and industry experts. As part of the Federal Reserve System, you’ll be connected to a professional network that spans the nation. You will begin in early June 2026 and will be based in the Dallas office.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM:

Intern, Office of the Chief of Staff will work closely with the Senior Strategic Program Manager to support a variety of projects and initiatives across teams within the Office of the Chief of Staff. The intern will shadow meetings across teams to learn about how the three departments (Strategy, Internal Governance, Communications) operate in practice, while contributing to internal business operations and events run by the department. The intern will gain experience with Salesforce, Asana, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs, and become well-versed in various department operations, for example, communications operations, data analysis, budget management, expense reconciliation, and records maintenance. The intern will support logistics around events (for example, employee town halls) and gain exposure to the Executive Office and Bank President, learning about leadership of a large organization.

A rich curriculum for education around the Federal Reserve will be provided, with supplemental materials on the global economy, central banking, fiscal and monetary policy, and more.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Shadow department meetings to learn about internal governance, bank strategy, and communications
  • Learn about the Federal Reserve, the global economy, central banking, and monetary policy
  • Contribute to department operations, such as records management, budget management, and more
  • Learn and regularly use tools such as Salesforce, Asana, Excel, PowerPoint, and others
  • Contribute to briefing materials for the Bank President and Chief of Staff
  • Support communication analytics and ad-hoc communications projects

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • An eagerness to learn new tools and skills
  • An interest in Central Banking, monetary policy, and economics
  • Excellent, clear writing skills
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • An interest in or experience with data analytics
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

WORK HOURS:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required
