The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking to hire a Software Engineer, with a focus supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This position requires regular on-site presence.

There is one vacancy, the position may be filled at the Senior or the Advanced level. To be considered at either level, you must meet the required and relevant technology and years of experience.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen OR a lawful permanent resident alien with at least three (3) years of legal residency. This position does not sponsor employment visas.

Overview of Responsibilities as a Senior Engineer:

  • Work independently, under minimal guidance to design and document set up and maintenance procedures and processes for technology systems in partnership with System IT.

  • Provide technology functionality support including preventative maintenance and responding to security vulnerabilities.

  • Recommend platform and system access in accordance with Bank security policies.

  • Perform complex diagnostic and environmental testing.

  • Recommend and implement system maintenance tools that automate processes to enable greater scale and speed.

  • Participate in an Agile development or DevSecOps environment where applicable.

  • Participate and may lead groups/committees related to processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Document procedures and maintain process guidelines for supported technology systems.

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of more than one integration discipline within IT.

  • Coordinate input to technology architecture, design, development, or deployment.

Education and Required Experience at the Senior Engineer Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years of relevant information technology experience.

  • Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

  • Building, customizing, and maintaining API connections to Microsoft Dataverse and other external services.

  • Scripting experiences in languages such as: Python, PowerShell, Shell, or other tools such as Terraform/Cloud Formation, or Crestron SIMPL.

  • Experience in AWS and Azure.

Overview of Responsibilities as an Advanced Engineer:

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and team management by directing the work of and setting technical direction for other team members in an open, positive, and collaborative manner.

  • Bring an Agile mindset: take initiative and ownership of projects and demonstrate collaboration and teamwork.

  • Champion technology across the district and the greater Federal Reserve System.

  • Lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives by ensuring the team follows the appropriate software/system development life cycle methodology.

  • Lead technology initiative projects of the highest complexity, which includes new application development, commercial off the shelf (COTS) solutions, cloud solutions, and other automation efforts.

  • Collaborate with business areas to identify and conceptualize new application solutions, recommend technologies and strategies, designs, builds (develop) or integrates and implements technology solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Ensure that the team’s technology solutions provide highest level of application performance and security, maintains application code per prescribed standards and process and complies with all applicable application design and development processes.

  • Mentor and provide technical training, information, and technical expertise to other automation and business area staff and management as necessary.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new products, processes, patterns, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.

  • Manage the implementation of cloud services and integration with in-house applications and systems.

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend application design and architecture, identify ways to reuse existing application components and designs prototypes using current or emerging technologies.

  • Provide planning, estimation, and management of projects using established methodologies and practices.

Education and Required Experience at the Advanced Engineer Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of nine years of relevant information technology experience.

  • Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

  • Building, customizing, and maintaining API connections to Microsoft Dataverse and other external services.

  • Scripting experiences in languages such as: Python, PowerShell, Shell, or other tools such as Terraform/Cloud Formation, or Crestron SIMPL.

Additional Information:

Full salary ranges for each job profile:

Senior Engineer: $106,400 - $132,998 - $159,600

Advanced Engineer: $124,900 - $156,102 - $187,300

The hiring range is typically at the starting range and may be offered up to the midpoint of the above listed full salary range. Offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
