Job Description

The Plan Document Analyst is responsible for the plan document transition and changes for new conversion plans or existing clients. Provides retirement document support, consultation, and analysis of internal and external client data and processes. Handles and resolves document related questions to complete orders and substantive legal issues for assigned clients strategic to the service. Provides administrative processing support for “back office” tasks such as document verification, researching customer questions or problems, and performing miscellaneous customer and plan maintenance as defined by client specific procedures and contractual agreements while adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

What you will be doing:

Review plan provisions to ensure the accurate restatement of retirement plan documents for new and/or existing FIS clients. Serves as a resource for internal/external customers and partners for regulatory matters for FIS’s retirement plan documents.

  • Manage plan document changes with client and final documents and/or amendments for plan provision changes.
  • Reviews plan provisions which may include complex plan design consultation with plan sponsors and financial advisors to ensure accurate restatement and changes to the retirement plan documents.
  • Serves as a resource for internal and external clients and partners for regulatory matters for FIS’s retirement plan documents.
  • Provide protected benefit reviews and provide options within the operation of the document in conjunction with understanding the regulations for retirement plans.
  • Provide plan comparison reviews for plan mergers.
  • Manage assigned work in a timely manner; ensuring plan document deadlines are met.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of new hires and provide manager with progress updates.
  • Solid technical knowledge of qualified retirement plans along with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned dedicated to key financial advisor relationships that entail additional complexity.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or equivalent combination of education or related work experience in the pension industry. Professional or Industry designations a plus (e.g., ASPPA, NIPA or CEBS credentials)

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Previous experience with FIS Document Services (Formerly known as Relius Documents) required.
  • Previous experience providing document services to T Rowe Price via FIS Document Services Required.
  • Basic knowledge of the provision of the Code and ERISA that relate to retirement plans.
  • Experience reading and understanding legal retirement documents.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented and customer-driven, focusing on providing the highest quality products and services to internal and external clients
  • Flexibility, versatility, dependability
  • Organizational, time management, follow-up, attention to detail, and planning skills required
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent data entry and proofreading skills
  • Other related duties assigned as needed
FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $80,960.00 - $131,960.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
