About the role:

The DataNavigator is a product used by FIS in its Debit Card Processing Business. As a Software Engineer on the DataNavigator DN Rules branch, you will be at the core of how FIS builds an innovative fintech Exception Managing System. The DN Rules is an extension of the DN Server side of DataNavigator. DN Rules primarily focuses on, and is an integral part of the Exception Management System which dictates how 'Exceptions' to a normal Payment Transaction are created and processed. When a transaction comes into dispute, it enters DataNavigator. From there on, the DN Rules business dictates it's process flow. Each disputed case is open based on, and follows the guidelines on certain rules sets according to the Financial Network involved. This helps make the cumbersome process of ‘transaction dispute management’ automatic, seamless and adhere to timelines. FIS Clients see burgeoning volumes of transactions each year with more and more transactions coming into the Dispute Process. The Network-Network dispute process flow also keeps evolving each year to cater to newer technology and process refinement. All of this is managed by the DN Rules.

What you will be doing:
• Implementing DN Rules through the DN EMS Rules Utility, to be included in a specific database repository system
• Interacting with business analysts, DN Web and DN Server developers to define requirements and modifications.
• Participating in Compliance requirement meetings to determine technical requirements.
• Changes to the EMS Rules determined by way of Upgrades or through Mandates from Financial Networks.

What you will need:
• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.

• Ability to work with front end Web UI and back end systems.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
• A bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.

• Mainframe and Web UI skills
• Understanding of Agile basics
• Trained in SAFe 4.5+
• An open mind and willing to be challenged, and work in a fast pace environment.
• API work experience

• 5+ years of payments industry experience
• DataNavigator Web UI and DataNavigator Server experience
• Agile Experience
• Knowledge of FIS Products and Services
• Knowledge of Fintech industry.
