About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong analytical, data, and Retirement Plan Services (RPS) domain expertise. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging business needs and technical solutions by translating complex business problems into clear, structured, functional and data requirements. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams across the full project lifecycle.
Location - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Jacksonville, FL - Milwaukee, WI - Atlanta, GA - St. Petersburg, FL - Cincinnati, OH
About the Team
The FIS TRP Retirement Professional Services team manages and supports call center technologies and CRM systems to enhance customer service efficiency and deliver a seamless client experience that will define the world of fintech.
What you will be doing:
Conduct detailed business analysis to understand business goals, objectives, and operational needs
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements using standard BA methodologies (BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process flows, data mappings)
Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
Translate business needs into clear functional, technical, and data requirements to support solution design
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle
Support impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility assessments for proposed solutions
Perform data analysis and reconciliation to support root-cause analysis and issue resolution
Support testing activities including UAT planning, test case review, defect triage, and validation of delivered functionality
Provide ongoing support for production issues and continuous process improvement initiatives
Coach and support junior business analysts as required
Work independently while managing multiple priorities and contributing effectively within cross-functional teams
What you will need:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex business problems into structured requirements
Proven experience translating business needs into functional and data requirements
Solid understanding of end-to-end system and data flows
Advanced SQL proficiency, including: Writing complex joins and subqueries, Performing data validation and reconciliation queries, & Analyzing large datasets for root-cause analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Added bonus if you have:
Experience working in large-scale, data-intensive environments
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Experience with modern Database such as Snowflake, Postgres etc., with AWS
