Technical Engineering Director

What does a successful Technical Engineer Director do? At Fiserv, a successful Technical Engineer Director leads engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our clients' financial services experience. With a strong engineering background, this role focuses on analyzing equipment efficiencies and processes to assess feasibility and reduce downtime. You will provide highly specialized technical resources and ensuring technical support employees meet day-to-day expectations through data-driven performance management and scorecards.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the team of Technical Engineer at our Stafford, TX and Hazelwood, MO locations to deliver high-quality and innovative technical solutions.
  • Oversee complex technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and client needs.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and support business objectives.
  • Create TE specific goals and measurements that are measured using data measured frequently, including scorecards at all levels for machine performance and people performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Utilize advanced engineering methodologies and tools to optimize performance and deliverables.
  • Regularly report on project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or equivalent military experience.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • 10+ years of experience managing technical projects and engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record in driving strategic initiatives and delivering complex projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

What would be great to have:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the fintech industry or related technical fields.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt).
  • Experience with advanced engineering technologies and methodologies.
