VP, AI Product ManagementWhat does a successful VP of AI Product Management do at Fiserv?
A successful VP of AI Product Management at Fiserv owns the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered solutions across the enterprise. This executive leader bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities and business value, partnering closely with engineering Directors, Solution Architects, AI Solution Engineers, NL Data Scientists, and Implementation Analysts to bring intelligent products to market. They define product requirements informed by market research, client insights, and competitive analysis within the fintech and payments landscape. The VP drives cross-functional alignment between technology, design, sales, marketing, and client success teams to ensure AI products deliver measurable outcomes. They champion a data-driven culture of experimentation, establish KPIs and OKRs for product performance, and communicate the AI product vision to executive stakeholders, clients, and partners. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with 12+ years of progressive product management experience and a strong track record of launching AI/ML-driven products at scale.
What you will do:
- Define and own the AI product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with Fiserv's business objectives in fintech and payments.
- Lead product discovery, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify high-impact AI/ML opportunities across contact center, fraud detection, and client engagement domains.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML engineering Directors, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Solution Engineers to translate business requirements into product specifications and deliver on commitments.
- Establish and track product KPIs and success metrics; use data-driven insights to prioritize features, optimize product-market fit, and inform go-to-market strategies.
- Present AI product strategy, roadmap updates, and business cases to C-suite executives, board members, and key enterprise clients.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product management team; provide leadership through coaching, career development, and performance management.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 5 years leading AI/ML product strategy at scale.
- Demonstrated success launching and scaling AI/ML-powered products in fintech, payments, financial services, or enterprise SaaS.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies: NLP/NLU, large language models (LLMs), conversational AI, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms and services: Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, IBM Watson, Amazon Lex, Google CCAI, and Hugging Face.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), OpenShift, containerization (k8s), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, build business cases, and quantify ROI for AI initiatives.
- Experience working with product analytics, A/B testing frameworks, and data-driven decision-making tools (Splunk, Power BI, Amplitude).
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and product management tooling: Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Productboard.
- Track record of managing and developing product management teams of 5+ members.
- Experience with contact center technologies (IVR, Chat Bot, Interaction Routing) and their AI-driven evolution is highly valued.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences.
What would be great to have:
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model lifecycle management, MLOps, and responsible AI/ethics frameworks.
- Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, feature stores, and data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse).
- Understanding of API-first product design, microservices architectures, and developer experience (DX) best practices.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services (PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR) as it relates to AI products.
- Familiarity with generative AI product design patterns, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
- Experience with security and scanning tools: Fortify, Voltage, WebInspect, and Sonatype.
- Relevant certifications in AI/ML, product management (e.g., AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute), or cloud platforms.
- Visionary leader with the ability to inspire, influence, and align diverse teams around a shared product vision.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI/ML concepts for non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and measurable outcomes.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
