Job Title
Director, Merchant Product ManagementAbout the Role
Fiserv is redefining how merchants and software platforms adopt, integrate, and scale payments. This role sits at the center of that transformation. As Director of Product Management, you will lead the strategy and execution across a portfolio of products spanning Fiserv for Platforms, merchant onboarding solutions, and supporting capabilities that serve SMB, midmarket, and enterprise merchant segments.
You will act as the primary internal and external voice for this product suite—representing vision, roadmap, and value proposition to senior leadership, clients, partners, industry analysts, and crossfunctional teams. This role blends platform strategy, merchant lifecycle expertise, and broad product leadership to ensure Fiserv delivers modern, scalable experiences for both direct merchants and embedded platform partners.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership Across a MultiProduct Portfolio
- Own the endtoend vision, strategy, and multiyear roadmap for Fiserv for Platforms and merchant onboarding products across all merchant segments.
- Evaluate and prioritize investments across multiple product lines to drive growth, operational efficiency, and differentiating experiences.
- Guide the evolution of platformlevel capabilities that power onboarding, payment acceptance, merchant lifecycle, and partner enablement.
Internal & External Executive Representation
- Serve as the external representative of the product suite—leading discussions with major platform partners, enterprise merchants, industry forums, and analysts.
- Support commercial teams through strategic client engagements, roadmap presentations, and executivelevel product messaging.
- Translate complex product and technical concepts into compelling narratives for senior leadership, helping influence enterprise prioritization and investment decisions.
Platform & Onboarding Product Ownership
- Oversee the product lifecycle for APIs, onboarding workflows, orchestration tools, developer experiences, and merchant lifecycle management capabilities.
- Ensure consistency and scalability of onboarding across segments—from SMB selfservice flows to enterpriselevel, partnerdriven workflows.
- Champion a unified, modern experience that simplifies underwriting, activation, Know Your Customer (KYC), and risk processes.
Partner, Platform, and Merchant Experience Leadership
- Deeply understand the differing needs of software platforms, marketplaces, direct merchants, and internal operational users.
- Drive the creation of configurable, APIfirst experiences that can be tailored to platform partners while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Identify and integrate partners that extend capabilities, support global markets, or accelerate timetovalue.
CrossFunctional Influence & Operational Alignment
- Lead crossfunctional steering groups, aligning Engineering, Sales, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing around shared goals.
- Drive readiness and operational scalability for product launches, ensuring downstream teams have clear processes, KPIs, and support models.
- Maintain a datadriven approach to adoption, performance, and continuous improvement across all products in your portfolio.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership of platform, onboarding, or payments products.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple product lines or a large, crossproduct domain.
- Expertise working with ISVs, SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or embedded finance ecosystems.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with a track record of representing products to Csuite audiences, large clients, and industry groups.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience with APIs, developer ecosystems, orchestration frameworks, and compliance/regulatory considerations.
- Ability to lead through influence, drive strategic alignment, and deliver results in complex, matrixed environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep domain knowledge in merchant onboarding, underwriting, risk, KYC/KYB, and payment acceptance.
- Prior experience modernizing processes into digital, automated workflows.
- Background with embedded finance, marketplace payments, or multiparty payment flows.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, OKRs, and largescale enterprise delivery practices.
