Director of Product, Merchant Boarding Platforms

We are seeking a resultsdriven Director of Product to lead key components of our merchant boarding orchestration platform. This role is responsible for designing, building, and scaling platform capabilities that support merchant acquisition across SMB, Enterprise, and ISV / Platform channels.

You will partner closely with the VP, Head of Merchant Boarding Platforms to execute the platform roadmap, delivering configurable, compliant, and scalable boarding experiences that integrate with enterprise risk, compliance, and underwriting systems.

This role focuses on platform execution, experience orchestration, data capture, and delivery, not policy ownership.

What You Will Do:

Platform & Delivery Execution
  • Own delivery of defined platform capabilities within the boarding and provisioning ecosystem.

  • Translate platform strategy into clear product requirements, milestones, and releases.

  • Drive daytoday execution with Engineering and Design teams.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Underwriting partners to ensure platform solutions align to policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with segment teams (SMB, Enterprise, ISO, ISV) to support channelspecific onboarding needs using shared platform capabilities.

  • Act as a key point of coordination between platform and channel product teams.

Capability Delivery

  • Develop the boarding platform’s core capabilities including:

  • Risk and compliance workflows

  • Product provisioning and entitlements

  • Developer-facing APIs, SDKs

Customer & Partner Experience

  • Drive intuitive, efficient onboarding journeys for merchants and partners.

  • Identify friction points and implement improvements that balance speed, risk, and compliance.

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and configurable as requirements evolve.

Data & Insights

  • Track platform performance, funnel metrics, and adoption across channels.

  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation and efficiency.

  • Use data and feedback to continuously optimize boarding flows and platform capabilities.

What You Must Have:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including experience leading complex platform initiatives.

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or other regulated industries.

  • Strong understanding of merchant boarding, provisioning, and compliancedriven user journeys.

  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, and platformbased products.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with Risk, Compliance, and Engineering partners without owning policy decisioning.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Salary Range

$163,200.00 - $244,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale, California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
