Business Systems Analysis, AdvisorAbout the role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our technology and business transformation team. The ideal candidate will be driving requirements gathering, solution design, and successful delivery of enterprise-scale initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with financial services organizations, and the ability to work independently in complex integration environments. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business needs, analyze processes, document requirements, and support the implementation of technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Independently facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, requirements gathering meetings, and solution design discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze existing systems, processes, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Support integration projects involving multiple enterprise applications and third-party systems.
- Work closely with technical teams to define API, data mapping, and system integration requirements.
- Validate solution designs to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist with testing activities including test case reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect triage.
- Monitor project deliverables, risks, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and maintain detailed business documentation, process diagrams, and project artifacts.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical.
- 6+ years of progressive technology-focused business analysis or related roles.
- 3+ years of business experience within the Financial Services industry.
- Experience analyzing data models, system interfaces, and integration requirements.
- Experience with API contract mapping, postman and SQL Methodology & Delivery.
- Experience working with requirements management, collaboration, and project tracking tools.
- Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with JIRA
- 1+ years of experience working at Fiserv as a contractor or employee.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and modern application platforms.
- Knowledge of business process modeling tools and techniques.
