Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for selling Corpay One with the main performance indicator of qualified, net-new meetings with prospective clients. The BDR will learn sales best practices and become an expert in leveraging our tech stack (Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator & ZoomInfo) to successfully source new meetings to sell our corporate cards and finance software.

We are seeking BDR's to join our rapidly expanding strategic outbound sales team. In this role, you'll work to prospect and qualify leads to generate new business opportunities. BDR's work closely with our Account Executives (AE's) and Sales Management to generate a sustainable pipeline to achieve our revenue goals. The BDR pitches the value of Corpay One's bill pay solution & Mastercard offering to SMB's (small-to-medium sized businesses) via phone and email. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities through creative, multi-channel prospecting. Our BDR's require the ability to technically understand the product in order to be a consultative, solutions selling expert on the phone with prospective clients.

We need someone who is eager to generate new opportunities, consult customers and sell the value of Corpay One to build our pipeline. Prospecting is the lifeblood of our company and our BDR's are the front lines creating top of the funnel, revenue generating opportunities to support our growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business opportunities by generating qualified meetings with SMB's promoting our corporate cards and finance software
  • Deliver strong performance against sales / revenue targets
  • Be able to clearly understand and communicate the qualification criteria for your sourced opportunities
  • Knowledge of our Target Addressable Market (TAM) & our Ideal Client Profile (ICP)
  • Self-sufficient in generating new opportunities; seeks guidance for new, unfamiliar situations
  • Continuous self-reflection of performance against KPI's and adjust as needed
  • Research and understand the prospective client’s business goals, objectives and challenges
  • Ability to communicate recommendations effectively to the appropriate level of leadership within a prospective company
  • Propose solutions to deliver quantifiable business value to prospective clients
  • Execution of sales cadences in a timely, creative manner

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of experience in a phone sales role OR a driven and eager to learn new grad who thrives in fast paced, constantly-changing environments
  • A desire to learn, grow, and get in on the ground floor of a start-up and new sales team while launching your career in sales
  • The ability to proactively engage new clients through email and phone
  • A high sense of urgency that can adapt and pivot in every conversation
  • The skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value of Corpay One
  • A team-player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks
  • A desire to learn, grow, and get in on the ground floor of a unicorn startup while launching your career in sales
  • A competitive spirit for the activity needed to excel - making one more phone call, one more touch, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
