Systems Engineer II

What We Need

FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Systems Engineer within our division North American Fuel. This position is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the advanced technical aspects of our customer’s standard and custom procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and effective use of Comdata’s products and services. This includes engagements with internal and external customers. This position will participate in the onboarding of our clients with the products that they purchased. This could include Express Cash, Fleet, OnRoad, Purchasing/Travel and Entertainment cards as well as ePayables virtual cards for AP payments technical resources and sales support.

As a Systems Engineer II, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

  • Workspace in Brentwood office and a home office set up
  • Company-issued equipment with remote access
  • Formal, hands-on training

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

· Provide systems consulting guidance for internal and external clients and partners; coordinate with technical and operations staff/management to implement technical solutions

  • Resolve time sensitive customer technical issues.
  • Documenting custom application and automation process flow.
  • Timely communication with customers and management as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge of Comdata system integration options to include Batch file processing utilizing SFTP, API interfaces, web Services, etc.
  • Work with sales, account setup specialist, implementation project management, the customer and other associates for successful customer implementations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and executing various macros and scripts used to update customer account information in various programs
  • Participates in the development of new programs or processes for customer implementation and support

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (Bachelor degree preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in an environment delivering client facing technical support.
  • 4+ year of experience providing technical support and development of solutions using Microsoft Access and SQL.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, solid analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Access Database/SQL experience is required
  • Expert level Excel knowledge including the use of complex formulas and macros
  • Experience with Alteryx Designer workflow automation desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong understanding and experience with scripting languages used in automation of procedures in an MS Windows environment.
  • Microsoft SQL experience is desired
  • Strong understanding of the Comdata Host A environment, specifically discounts and rebates configuration and options.
  • Transportation Industry experience preferred
  • Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects, PowerBi or Tableau is desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to properly communicate our products functionality and technical interface options.
