Data Analytics Engineer, Analytics & Reporting

Location : Hybrid preferred at Norcross GA, or Brentwood TN offices


What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Data Analytics Engineer (Power BI), Analytics & Reporting within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corpay line of business. In this role, you will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of the organization's business intelligence, analytics and reporting systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers to ensure that data is accurate and easily accessible for reporting and analysis.

How We Work

As a Data Analytics Engineer (Power BI), you will be expected to work in a hybrid and/or remote environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in Peachtree Corners, GA, Brentwood, TN, or Beaverton, OR Hybrid
  • Company-issued equipment + remote access

You will be successful in this role if:

  • You have strong hands-on experience in data analytics and visualization, enterprise reporting for Operations and non-operations functions, data modelling, warehousing and architecture.
  • You are a self-driven, and business-oriented data technologist who has worked on both technical and non-technical initiatives, and ready to get down into the weeds of the technology when necessary
  • You can communicate and collaborate well with business stakeholders to achieve specific business goals.
  • You have a diverse technical background and comfortable adapting to work with technologies and platforms that may be new to you.
  • You have experience working directly with and reporting to business stakeholders to track and enable business value.
  • You can analyse transactional data to generate insights, and articulate recommendations, risks, options, and progress to stakeholders in written deck formats and formal verbal delivery settings.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Work with team of data analysts and data engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's business intelligence and reporting data models and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data engineering, reporting and analysis needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Ensure that data is accurate and easily accessible for modeling, reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain persona-based dashboards, management reports and executive views to provide business insights.
  • Follow best practices for Power BI and SQL development
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy policies and regulations.
  • Manage and prioritize workload and identify opportunities to streamline reports, processes and improve efficiency and load time.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on business intelligence and reporting.

Education & Experience

  • College education (BS/MS Computer Science or Information Systems) or equivalent experience required. Higher education in analytics, information systems, computer science, business, data or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of strong experience in Microsoft Power BI as well as preferably in SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI components, with proficiency in complex DAX, Power Query, tabular modeling, composite modelling, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in building intuitive and interactive visuals and user-experiences.
  • Hands-on experience with distribution, access and data security in Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience in data engineering, data modeling, OLTP, OLAP, data warehousing, dimensional modelling, etc. preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis preferred.
  • Ability to solve complex business logic using data engineering, data modelling, DAX measures, Power Query, data transformations, SQL, CTE's, etc.
  • Skilled at using best practices and optimizations for DAX, Power Query and SQL.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their BI needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records in a database, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, financial math, statistics, and their applications.
  • Technology— Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and data driven tools. Ability to learn Corpay’s systems and software. Use of proprietary database products, CRM software (Salesforce), ticketing software (Zendesk), fax and phone systems.

  • Normal office working conditions. Work requires regular sitting/standing at a desk, working with a computer and a telephone. Job may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week during peak periods.
