Your role

To work within FLEETCOR’s technology function to deliver effective support to both external clients/suppliers and colleagues across all applications. Responsible for investigating software issues raised by clients, identifying the appropriate solution, and prioritizing against the client’s business requirements, planned future development and available resource.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help us evolve and modernize our systems. We’re currently migrating our applications to the cloud and adopting more scalable, maintainable technologies — and we need someone who can contribute both technically and strategically.

This role offers the opportunity to work with .NET (Core and Framework), React, SQL Server, and cloud services on Azure or AWS. Experience with TFS/ADO and Gitlab along with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is important as we continue to build out our cloud environments.

You’ll join a collaborative team that values clean code, thoughtful design, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend systems using C#/.NET.
• Build modern front-end interfaces using React or similar frameworks.
• Work with SQL Server to write and optimize queries.
• Contribute to cloud-based solutions on Azure or AWS, including serverless components.
• Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Participate in system design discussions and provide technical guidance across the team.
• Support the ongoing migration of applications and services to the cloud.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of .NET (C#) and backend development.
• Front-end experience with React or a similar JavaScript framework.
• Solid experience with SQL Server and query optimization.
• Cloud development experience with Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Good understanding of modern software practices and deployment workflows.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience with serverless technologies like Azure Functions or AWS Lambda.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Any Cloud certifications or Dev Ops.
