Job Purpose
The Customer Learning Solutions team for Servicing creates and maintains documentation for the 50+ servicing products on the market. These assets include release notes, help systems, implementation guides, reference guides, and quick start guides.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete technical communication projects in accord with software development schedules.
- Partner with product owners and development teams to stay informed of product development strategies across multiple products to identify activities that impact product functionality.
- Demonstrate a high level of skill using development tools and technologies. Requires experience and proficiency with MadCap Flare, Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Office Suite, or comparable tools.
- Follow established department writing standards and guidelines.
- Submit documentation for standards editing and subject matter expert feedback.
- Provide project status reports to department management and stakeholders.
- Participate as active team member; understand corporate direction and work to support it. Support or mentor team members with work responsibilities as needed.
- Identify problems and potential solutions, share ideas, suggest process improvements, contribute to development of department standards and workflows, research and report on new trends and technologies.
- Demonstrate independence of thought but refer more complex problems to supervisor or other experts.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in technical writing, preferably in enterprise software or mortgage/financial technology.
- Extensive proficiency in technical writing and editing, with a strong command of grammar, structure, and clarity.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects for multiple products or functions, and/or operate as a designated lead for a suite of products.
- Ability to collaborate with internal business partners to deliver technical communications that meet client needs.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects and assist less-experienced peers.
- Aptitude for attention to detail, time management, and project management.
