Job Description

Your Role:

The Director of Operations for Invesco Indexing is responsible for liaising between Invesco Indexing and key internal business functions within Invesco. The position will have a broad remit spanning governance, risk management, product, marketing, legal, pricing, data, and technology, with an objective of establishing and supporting all business activities required to ensure the successful launch of indexes and the overall development of Invesco’s custom indexing unit.

Coordinates and manages day-to-day running of front office or infrastructure areas. Responsibilities may include budgeting and forecasting. May assist in strategic business planning.

You will be responsible for:

  • Organize all governance and oversight matters related to the LLC in close partnership with Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk

  • Coordinate the index launch processes including data distribution, publication of index data, and supporting collateral

  • Manage key compliance and oversight activities, including weekly and monthly engagement with compliance teams, oversight committee meetings and their materials, regulatory disclosure requirements, audit requirements, and regular policy reviews

  • Manage relationships with calculation agents and other third-party providers, including oversight of calculation provider performance

  • Establish index pricing in partnership with Invesco’s Pricing team and work with Invesco’s finance and accounts teams for payments and disbursements

  • Identify new index opportunities through close interaction with the Invesco’s product development and market research organizations

  • Design and maintain the Invesco Indexing web page in partnership with the Invesco web and technology teams

  • Coordinate with Market Data Services regarding all data licensing and technology needs of the Invesco Indexing team

  • Manage and report on all financial matters of the index business in partnership with Invesco’s Finance team

The experience you bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years in the asset management industry

  • Minimum of 7 years working at Invesco working closely with internal business partners and investment teams preferred

  • Excellent organizational and business management skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Willingness to engage in significant travel

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint

  • High level of integrity and a team-first attitude

  • Organized, detail oriented and intellectually curious

  • Capable of building trust with a wide spectrum of professionals and personalities

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

  • Enthusiastic worker willing to do whatever is required to get the job done

Formal Education:

  • College degree required

  • Graduate degree preferred
