Job Description

The Department:

As a member of the STS Business Insights team, a Advance Business Analyst is responsible for leading, supporting and executing our team objective of fostering a data driven culture that enables executive leadership to realize its strategic objectives. Our goal is to inform strategy execution by increasing visibility and accountability across the organization to become more outcome focused.

Your Role:

As a Advance Business Analyst Role you will work closely with Business Partner interactions, leading high-level programs sponsored by SMD/Executive Leadership around driving key outcomes, improving efficiencies and/or by simplifying our operating model.

You will be responsible for:

  • The incumbent will partner with STS Leadership across all levels to build solutions that drive key outcomes as demonstrated by acting as a consultant to understand business needs, recommending solutions, and build solution requirements.

  • Product Ownership - be the escalated Point of Contact and SME for questions and issues with the product. Provide knowledge transfer, training tools, and other key documentation to BA peers to help them support their client needs. When a new enhancement to the product is undertaken, Incumbent shall be responsible for successful delivery. This includes the creation of an of end-to-end product roadmap for future desired enhancements.

  • Client Relationship - acts as liaison (initial Point of Contact) between STS BI & Clients. Responsible for overall Engagement & Adoption of clients. Engage with client’s key leadership team members frequently. Promote awareness and adoption of STS BI products among the client’s Target Audience. Provide frequent updates to STS BI Leadership on client engagement, relevant programs, and any roadblocks/countermeasures.

  • Provide business analysis expertise to interpret partner requirements that deliver impactful reporting insights to help aid business decisions and/or that drive leadership accountability.

  • Possesses the ability to define an defining engaging narrative through executive presentation creation/communication and the expertise to present material and/or chair executive meetings are critical aspects of this role.

  • Coordinate directly with development team members and STS BI Leadership to track project deliverables and timelines.

  • Regularly engage and consult with various data consumers to champion reporting best practices and standards that help improve their overall reporting abilities. Create and execute tailor-made improvement plans that help partners meet strategic goals.

  • Drive adoption of solutions / reporting insights by actively engaging with partners to ensure outcome is embedded within the client’s workflow.

  • Meets regularly with strategic business partners to review current challenges, uncover root causes, recommend course correction, and implement strategies to support implementation effectiveness based on feedback.

  • Create and maintain project artifacts, including project plans, issue logs, meeting minutes, summaries, etc.

  • Analyzes and re-engineers business processes, works to understand business problems, and derives solutions as they relate to the current and future state, all while in alignment of our strategic initiatives.

The experience you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis and data analysis. Experience within the Asset Management industry is a strong advantage.

  • Should have product ownership experience-managing multiple projects and taking full responsibility of timelines, budget and deliverables.

  • Strong client relationship history with the ability to predict/ foresee future requirements the client could have and act proactively.

  • Proven background in Continuous Improvement, explicitly 7+ years of experience in Project Management. Proven development and implementation experience using Agile and Waterfall.

  • Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, TSQL, Excel) necessary. Should be good at data visualization and storytelling.

  • Confidence working with complex data and systems.

  • Experience working as part of a global team is a requirement, even though the role is an individual contributor’s.

  • Should be comfortable presenting/collaborating with Executive Leadership.

  • An Individual with a track record of having the internal drive, motivation and high energy.

Formal Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
