Job Description

Your Role

The Advanced Principal, Operational Governance will directly support the Gbl Hd of Operational Governance and Implementation in a diverse role that includes Project Management, Strategic Planning, Analytics and Data, Communication and hands on leadership on strategic initiatives. The right individual will be a ‘global problem solver’, with a good understanding of Investment and Distribution Services and/or Investment-related activities. This person should be a dynamic critical thinker and a self-starter who encourages confidence and credibility. Successful candidates with possess the professional competence and interpersonal skills to command the respect of senior leaders and the operations team. Other skills should include a dedication to continual improvement in execution, a collaborative approach to win internal support, and influencing skills to work with global partners.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supports the integration/alignment of IDS strategy across Investment and Distribution Services and Invesco as a whole.

  • Takes ownership to directly lead a variety of cross-cutting critical initiatives across the IDS organization, including opportunities related to continuous improvement, system/software implementations, automation, communication, and other human resources activities

  • Works with the Senior Management to support the ongoing IDS management meetings, Townhalls regular meetings and semi-annual business planning sessions.

  • Organizes materials and coordinates meeting logistics while detailing outcomes and coordinating revisions of strategic plans as vital.

  • Takes a hands-on approach to managing and supporting multiple IDS multi-functional projects as directed by Senior Management

  • Creates and supports the content creation for Town Halls, Newsletters, and other communication events while prioritizing and coordinating the events themselves

  • Actively implement IDS communication strategy to drive employee engagement

  • Leverages and champions new communication mediums (e.g. Yammer) to support stronger engagement

  • Educate and provide updates to others in the organization as necessary, by demonstrating deep industry knowledge (current and future)

The experience you bring:

  • This role requires 8+ years in the securities industry, a focus on Investment and Distribution Services and experience in working with a global and diverse team

  • Deep understanding of key business drivers and ability to build design and implement appropriate metrics for Management Tracking

  • Proven experience setting up governance frameworks for improved processes and improvement initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing change policies in an operational setting

  • Proven experience implementing organizational change and benefits capture programs and asset

  • Able to construct a compelling case and present it concisely to executives

  • Demonstrated experience in project management with consistent track record to drive for results

  • Excellent knowledge of various global investment products

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred but not required
