Job Description

The Associate Credit Analyst will perform fundamental credit analysis within multiple sectors of the Investment Grade corporate bond market. Responsibilities include the development of fundamental credit opinions and relative value assessments for individual issuers. The analyst will also be responsible for monitoring broader market and sector risks. The analyst is expected to actively maintain and communicate proprietary ratings and other risk assessments. Analysts will be expected to identify, assume and manage credit risks and work effectively with sector team peers, traders and portfolio managers. Sector coverage responsibilities may include Utilities and Industrials but will ultimately reflect the strengths of the candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze corporate bond issuers within select number of industries
  • Determine and analyze specific relevant credit issues
  • Develop issuer level and broader market relative value assessments
  • Produce well researched, concise reports for global investment professionals
  • Actively participate on global sector teams
  • Perform special projects as required by the broader credit team
  • Communicate effectively with broader investment teams and clients
  • Conduct due diligence visits and attend industry conferences as appropriate

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, is preferred
  • Must exhibit appropriate software knowledge of Bloomberg and Windows-based applications, with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
