Job Description

The Department

The Global Business Services (GBS) – Revenue Team is responsible for Accounting and Reporting for the revenues of the US and EMEA entities during the period end close.

Your Role

Invesco is looking for a strong analyst to join the Finance team in its global headquarters in Atlanta. The GBS Team works closely with other teams in Finance to compile necessary information and performing Revenue accounting and reporting.

This is a hybrid role with some time expected in-office weekly (3 days/wk) and great flexibility for remote work weekly.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with team members to identify, implement, and document process improvement/value-added opportunities with the goals of increasing efficiency and decreasing risk.

  • Overseeing the review of client agreements and validate fee schedules to confirm the accuracy of client setups in the system.

  • Preparing and posting journal entries for the revenues of the US entities during the period end close.

  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with GAAP, regulatory, and Invesco policies.

  • Ensuring that reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Completing GL reconciliations

  • Performing account and variance analyses. Must be able to identify variance, determine cause of variance, and document findings.

  • Maintaining proper Sarbanes-Oxley documentation on areas of responsibility in scope for SOX audits and ensures compliance with documented controls.

  • Liaising with stakeholders to provide timely responses on matters related to areas of responsibility.

  • Performing ad hoc reporting as requested and other duties/projects as assigned.

  • Collaborating with international colleagues and reviewing their activity in the recognition of revenue and invoice preparation.

  • Assisting Manager in leading special projects and completion of critical assignments as necessary.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.

  • 1 year of accounting and/or finance experience

  • A solid understanding of accounting and financial principles and the ability to apply these principles to corporate accounting is required.

  • Knowledge of SOX requirements is required.

  • Experience with Oracle Financials and SmartView is a plus.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals are required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within international matrix reporting lines.

  • The ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and be proficient in reviewing financial data is required.

  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft applications.

  • Ability to cooperate in a fast-paced team environment is critical.

  • Must show great attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
