Job Description

Duties:

  • Managing significant projects and programs related to Invesco’s Cloud strategy, planning, execution, and operations.
  • Work on multi-disciplinary projects and require a broad knowledge of the firm and its key functions.
  • Use knowledge of the Agile Project development methodology to supervise and ensure completion of projects on schedule.
  • Own cloud infrastructure and solutions architecture scrums, including scrums for key projects and work with other Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and manage dependencies to support other teams’ delivery commitments.
  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, multi-functional abilities, and domain knowledge, and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Work with Product Owners to understand the business priorities and items to be groomed in upcoming sprints.
  • Classic Project Manager responsibilities including project estimations, governance, and planning.
  • Lead the team in the development of program roadmap and underlying tasks using either waterfall or agile project management methodology or a combination of both in alignment with the Invesco project governance approval processes.
  • Actively engage in Community of Practice on program management methodology, including Agile practices and interaction models.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, IS, Computer Science or related technical field plus 6 years of progressive experience in IT positions performing the following:
    • Managing projects including responsibility for the full project life cycle management, managing project scope & timeline, balancing multiple priorities, and partnering and communicating with relevant stakeholders across the organization.
    • Working with Atlassian tools, including Jira & Confluence
    • Coaching multiple teams to improve levels of maturity and ensure they adhered to Scrum framework.
    • Using data analysis techniques to isolate customer gaps; financial models to estimate the opportunity size; and strategic frameworks including MOSCOW, SWOT analysis.
    • Implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and facilitating the adoption of Agile Practices across the development team.
    • Creating Jira Boards & Dashboards.
    • Implementing Agile mindset by conducting burndown charts, team velocity analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensuring deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
    • Working in global technology enterprise organization(s) with build stable, high-performing, long-lasting teams, distributed across geographies and time zones.
    • Handling large and matrixed teams, minimum with 4 squads consisting of minimum 8 members.
    • Successfully transforming team waterfall mindset to Agile by implementation of training program with materials for teams to understand Agile Delivery.
    • Technical exposure in Cloud; working in Cloud Technology Projects; specifically projects such as Cloud Migration for data center exits.
    • Leading agile cloud teams working building infrastructure, as opposed to apps, using DevOps on the Public Cloud (Azure and AWS)
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in IT, IS, Computer Science or related technical field plus 4 years of experience in IT positions performing the aforementioned.
  • Must be a Scrum Certified Master (CSM)
  • Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Atlanta, GA. Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
